In the globalization wave of curriculum reform, the mother tongue curriculum reform is the core curriculum which all countries take together. In the 1990s, the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have started a new round of reform to meet the rapid development of the society's demanding for qualified personnel. By the impact of the mother tongue curriculum reform, the four areas all introduced advanced curriculum ideas, contacted with local conditions, then developed new Chinese curriculum documents. Since the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao have the same root and source and have a clock Legend in the traditional culture, so they will have many natural ties in the Chinese curriculum and many common points in the development of "standards" and "guidelines", the "Outline" and "outline". However, due to political and economic systems in a different culture and different ideologies and values, and other factors, four areas' Chinese curriculum documents also reflect their own characteristics. Therefore, the basic concepts of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao Chinese curriculum documents have some reference significance for the implementation and revision of the mainland Chinese curriculum standard. This research aims to find out and analyze the similarities and differences by comparing these four areas' Chinese curriculum documents so that it may draw more attentions to this area. The author also hopes that the research can put some highlights to the revision of the mainland's Chinese curriculum standard.The first part of the paper discusses the impact of the tide of globalization, changes in these four regions and the major problems of four areas' Chinese curriculum, thus introducing the background of curriculum reform in these four areas.The second part of the paper analyzes the basic elements of the curriculum standards, brief introduction the framework of four areas' Chinese curriculum documents , and the basic elements and these contact of four areas' curriculum standards' frameworks.The third part of paper compares the curriculum status, the curriculum concept and the curriculum nature, then getting the positioning of the curriculum status and nature, as well as the similarities and differences between the concepts of four areas' curriculum reform. The fourth part of paper mainly discusses the curriculum goals from the horizontal design dimensions, vertical structure level, design of stage objectives and expression of curriculum goals, to explore the similarities and differences in curriculum goals.The fifth part of paper compares the other parts of the curriculum standards, mainly about the similarities and differences of compiling teaching materials, teaching and evaluation points.The final part of paper summarizes the inspiration of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao' Chinese curriculum documents to the mainland Chinese curriculum standard by comparing the four areas' Chinese curriculum documents.
