With the enforcement of New Curriculum Standards and the extending promotion of the reforms of education as well as the constant update of teaching concepts, more and more Chinese teachers realize that the biggest challenge and the most serious criticism that teachers face in Chinese class at present is ineffectiveness and inefficiency in teaching. The problem exists in daily teaching in the form of ineffectiveness and inefficiency in teaching words. Due to this kind of phenomenon, it is necessary to study the teaching words used in Chinese class again in order to improve the effectiveness of teaching words and strengthen the effectiveness of Chinese teaching in middle school.In the thesis I carry out researches mainly by studying reference works, analyzing cases and studying behaviors and using questionnaires. Most of the reference works come from middle school academic periodical websites. The cases are from the real records of my colleagues and some famous teachers. The teachers and students who fill in the questionnaires are from our education group and the experimental middle school of our county. According to my researches, I think effective teaching words should not only be basic, vivid and encouraging but also reproductive. Based on this, I also combine theory and practice and research into effective speaking language by using descriptive words and explanatory words; I research into some parts of effective talking language by using directive words, inspiring words and concluding words; I research into effective organizing language by using leading words, transient questioning words and concluding words.In order to improve the effectiveness of Chinese teaching words, we can do as follows: Firstly, we must be equipped with more theories and master the law of the use of the language. Secondly, we must attach more importance to it and improve our ability of using the language. Thirdly, we must strengthen cooperation and improve ourselves through researches.
