On The Inspiration Of Sunzi's Strategy Thought To Chinese Football Thinking

In 2007, Chinese football team failed in the Asia Cup group match, which was the first time in 27 years. In 2008, Chinese football team lost in our own country which means it couldn't take part in the next football World Cup. According to the latest list of the World Football Union, Chinese football team ranks the 102nd in the world and the 12th in Asia, China's lowest record. The author thinks this miserable phenomenon has a root in Chinese football team's backward thinking. In the process of thinking how to improve Chinese football team's thinking, the author came up with utilizing The Art of War-Sunzi, the most amazing book in the ancient military circle, to the training of Chinese football team's thinking. Because it is one of the most excellent military science in the world, The Art of War-Sunzi has been used in every aspects of society. Sunzi has not only provided us codes of conduct in military science, but also provided us scientific way of thinking. The author thinks if we use the art of war in the training of Chinese football thinking, it can offer inspirations on the improvement of Chinese football thinking.Using methods of literature data,expert interview,example analysis,logical deduction and basing on previous research and author's observation, this article analyzes the visible gap and invisible gap between Chinese football team and other football teams. Visible gap mainly exists in the factors of skill,tactic,physical ability and competition experience; invisible gap mainly exists in the factors of foundation,training level,manage mechanism and conception. To reduce the gap, the improvement of football thinking becomes particularly important. Summarizing Sunzi's strategy thoughts and status quo of Chinese football team, this article makes a prescription on Chinese football team's thinking:as to the coaches, they have to improve their ability of training thinking, have to possess five qualities, that is intelligence,honesty,kindness,courage and strictness; as to the football players, on the usage of skill and tactic, they have to"know their enemy and know themselves","let themselves be master","success before fight","arrange normal camp but superior soldier","avoid other's advantage but attack other's disadvantage","make a psychological attack supremely". At the end of the article, it proposes that Chinese football coaches and players should strength their literature and professional skill quality, learn advanced football concept initiatively, and establish their own football thinking character.
