Resolving"Three rural issues"is a significant issue which is related to further development of great motherland China into 21st century. And the most important in all these task is rural education. PE teachers in rural primary and secondary schools assume and perform education duties and functions for comprehensive development of rural students physical and mental health, merits of the whole contingent is related to success or failure of the practice on rural education, therefore, we should pay attention to the optimization and construction of the contingent. To advance the education in rural area comprehensively, we must not ignore to construct contingent of PE teachers in rural area optimally.In this article, I firstly give a general grasp on current situation of contingent of PE teachers in rural areas in Jilin province. It takes many research methods such as literature and document, investigate and questionnaire, unstructured interview and mathematical statistics.It reaches the following conclusions:1.The professional knowledge in this subject of rural PE teachers in Jilin province still have more deficiency, they just grasp single teaching method,the demonstration of the action is poor.2. The basic configuration of the structure of rural PE teachers in Jilin province is unreasonable.The combination of age, gender,educational background and title is unbalanced.3. There are more problem existed in continuing education of rural PE teachers in Jilin province,such as the situation of rural PE teachers themselves, the organization and fund of continuing education.According to the research on the theories previous and the situation in the practical investigation on my own about rural PE teachers in Jilin province, I propose some principles on best construction of rural PE teachers in Jilin province.1.Specialization of rural PE teachers;2. Optimization of the structure of rural PE teachers;3.Developing balanced. In order to seek a breakthrough in this area, I propose some suggestions: 1. Upgrade the education level and professional knowledge of P.E.synchronously. 2. Optimize the structure in age, gender, education background and title of rural P.E. teachers in Jilin province. 3.Consolidate and perfect the continuing education of rural P.E. teachers in Jilin province.I expect these principles and suggestions proposed in this research help the construction of the contingent of rural P.E. teachers in Jilin province to some extent.
