ObjectiveTo investigate the bone health of elderly women aged 40-60 years in Yangzhou University, and explore the major influence factors of elderly women aged 40-60 years with osteoporosis, meanwhile, rank these factors by the degree of their influence on osteoporosis. Established bone health evaluation indicators for elderly women aged 40-60 years, and provided reasonable recommendation for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.Methods254 elderly women aged 40-60 years old in Yangzhou University were investigated, calcaneal parameters were measured by CM-100 apparatus, and a questionnaire was conducted on the influence factors of bone density and osteoporosis. The questionnaire included seven parts in general, family history, menstrual history, disease history of operation, medication history, lifestyle and exercise conditions et al. According to the testing results of bone mineral density and bone ultrasound velocity (T less than or equal to-2.5 or SOS was less than or equal to 1485 as the boundary), the experimental object prevalence for osteoporosis and non osteoporosis in two groups. Statistic analysis was performed on the data using SPSS20.0 statistical software, statistical results according to P<0.05 selected factors have influence on osteoporosis, not significant (P>0.05) are eliminated. The influencing factors of the selected assignment as independent variables, with the bone density as a dependent variable. The multiple factors Logistic regression analysis, further screening effect factors of the bone density.Result(1) 254 elderly women aged 40-60 years old in Yangzhou University, the average age was 49.31+5.66 years, the average calcaneus ultrasound propagation speed was 1514±33.42 m/s, the T of bone density of was-1.05±1.76. The prevalence of elderly women with osteoporosis was about 20.47%, osteopenia was 35.40%, normal bone density was 44.10%.(2) Significant difference was found in different ages in the value of SOS and BMD (P<0.01), compared with 40-45 years old group, there were a marked decrease in the two valueof the group of 51-55 and 56-60 years old (P<0.01), and the prevalence of osteoporosis was higher of 51-55 and 56-60 years old than that of 40-45; Significant difference was also found in different menopausal status in the value of SOS and BMD (P<0.01), the SOS values and the T-score of bone mineral density of the premenopausal women were higher than those of postmenopausal women. The prevalence rate of osteoporosis in Postmenopausal women was much higher than that of premenopausal women. And the postmenopausal women whose menopause was the 38-43 years old, the prevalence of osteoporosis was significantly higher than the other groups (P< 0.01). The SOS and BMD of the elder women who hadn’t a fracture or bone pain history were significantly higher than that of had a fracture or bone pain history (P<0.05). Compared with the small amount of exercise, a large amount of exercise group bone speed of sound and the bone density of T values were significantly increased (P< 0.05). The statistical analysis of height, weight, BMI index, body fat percentage, blood glucose, blood lipid, blood pressure, lifestyle, etc., and bone mineral density T and bone ultrasonic SOS values were not correlated.(3)By Logistic regression analysis further screening, the influence factors of Yangzhou University 40-60 years old female bone health were significant degree of menopause (beta =-1.954), the amount of exercise (beta=-1.086) and the fracture history (beta=-1.014).Conclusion(1)Aging is one of the factors that affected bone health, along with the age growth of bone mineral density value was small, the prevalence of osteoporosis was higher. Menopause was also an important factor affecting the high rate of women in this age group decreased bone density and osteoporosis. The earlier age of menopause osteoporosis prevalence rate was higher. Exercise and the amount of exercise were also important factors for bone health. The history of fracture and bone pain was an important factor that affected bone health.(2)Through the Logistic multiple regression analysis, the main factors affecting the health of the elderly women aged 40-60 years in the Yangzhou University bone:the menopause, the amount of exercise and whether there was a history of fractures. Menopause was the main factor of the high rate of the middle and old aged women decreased bone density and osteoporosis. Second was the impact of the amount of exercise. Whether there was a history of fractures associated with decreased bone mineral density and prevalence of osteoporosis had certain correlation.
