By Contemporary TCM Eczema can be divided into three types:Dampness-heat type、Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness type、Blood deficiency in wind-dryness type. Traditional Chinese medicinal decoction, though the curative effect is stable, takes longer duration treatment. Wendan and Yuebi Decoction, which is frequently used by HuaHua who is Chief Physician of dermatological department、is the prescription to treat eczema. Herbs in Wendan Decoction, such as Tangerine Peel、Pinellia ternata、Poria cocos、Ginger and Jujube, have the ability of removing dampness for regulating the stomach. Yuebi Decoction is the significant prescription to treat the water in grain of skin. Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness type eczema can’t stand away from water and dampness. This clinical observation is designed to confirm curative effect of Wendan and Yuebi Decoction.OBJECTIVE:The aim of this study is to judge the clinical efficacy of Wendan and Yuebi Decoction’s to the Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness subacute type eczema, to research of the distinction between Wendan and Yuebi Decoction and Dehumidification Weiling Decoction, to provide a better solution for the treatment of the Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness subacute type eczema.METHOD:Sixty four patients with eczema in this study came from those who treated in Dermatology clinic of Guang’anmen Hospital China Academy of Chinese Medicine from September 1st,2015 to February 1st,2016. They were gave Wendan and Yuebi Decoction to take in treatment group while control group with Dehumidification Weiling Decoction. The medicine should be taken a daily dose, water frying till 400ml, dividing into two-part, taking half an hour after a meal in the morning and evening for 4 weeks. We recorded their scores EASI and the level of itching. According to the scores taken before and after the treatment, we can evaluate the efficacy.RESULTS:Sixty four cases of Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness subacute type eczema enrolled,3 cases fell of and 61 cases completed this experiment. Before the treatment, there were no significant difference two groups in the area of gender, age, course of diseases, and EASI scores, itching score for P value were greater than 0.05 in statistical comparison. After the treatment in contrast group two groups of data were statistically differences on the EASI scores and itching score for P<0.01 in statistics analysis, which showed two groups of patients before and after the treatment of eczema’s area、severity and itching degree were improved significantly. There were a total of 32 patients in treatment group.8 cases were cured,12 cases were markedly effective,8 cases were effective and 4 cases were ineffective, the recovery rate was 25%, total effective rate was 87.5%. In control group 29 cases enrolled, 5 cases were cured,11 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective and 6 cases were ineffective, the recovery rate was 17.2%, total effective rate was 79.31%. The recovery rate and total effective rate of treatment group is slightly larger than the control group. In statistics analysis, there is no significant difference (P> 0.05) in total effective rates and itching score of two groups, which shows that the curative efficacy of the Wendan and Yuebi Decoction for the eczema is similar to the Dehumidification Weiling Decoction. Medication safety is fine since of no adverse reaction during the medication in two groups.CONCLUSION:First, Wendan and Yuebi Decoction is the effective prescription for the Spleen deficiency in accumulated dampness type eczema.
