Background:Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease caused by absolute or relative insufficient insulin secretion and also has close relationship with social psychological factors. Various studies have found the close relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and anxiety or depression. Traditional Chinese Medicine holds that emotional activities are closely related to the liver’s function. The basic pathogenesis of diabetes is internal heat damaging Qi and Yin, and blood stasis blocking collaterals. Liver Qi stasis can lead to heat, which accelerates the process of diabetes. Liver meridian muggy is common in the clinic, while the research on the relationship between type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy and anxiety or depression is rare. Objective:By contrast research of type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome and qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, we hoped to find the correlation of type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome and anxiety or depression, liver meridian muggy syndrome and diabetes complications or merger disease, so as to provide a scientific basis for the clinical dialectical of liver meridian muggy syndrome and the clinical treatment of diabetes with mood disorders. Research methods:We selected patients with type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome or Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome in Dongzhimen Hospital from 2015 to 2016, and divided them into two groups. Data were collected and analyzed by using SPSS 17.0 For measurement data conforming to normal distribution, we used the independent sample t test to compare the difference between the two groups; For measurement data not conforming to normal distribution, we used the Mann-Whitney U test to compare the difference between the two groups. For count data, we used the X2 test to compare the difference between the two groups. For classification comparison of age. BMI, anxiety, and depression, we adopted the Kruskal-Wallis H test. If P<0.05, the difference is statistically significant. Results: ①The depression score in the liver meridian muggy group (46±6) was higher than that in the Qi and Yin deficiency group (33±9). t=6.732, P=0.000. The proportion of the patients with Mild, moderate and severe depression in the liver meridian muggy group was all higher than those in the Qi and Yin deficiency group.X2=25.812, P=0.000. Positive linear relationship was found in Liver meridian muggy syndrome integral and depression scores. r=0.591, P=0.000.②The anxiety score in the liver meridian muggy group (37±6) was higher than that in the Qi and Yin deficiency group(31 ± 7). t=3.653, P=0.001. Liver meridian muggy syndrome integral and anxiety scores are positive linear relationship. r=0.458, P=0.000.③ The proportion of the patients with diabetic retinopathy in the liver meridian muggy group was higher than that in the Qi and Yin deficiency group. X2=8.576, P=0.003.④The proportion of the patients with hypertension in the liver meridian muggy group was higher than that in the Qiand Yin deficiency group. X2=4.993, P=0.025.⑤The proportion of the patients with hyperlipidemia in the liver meridian muggy group was higher than that in the Qi and Yin deficiency group. X2=6.385, P=0.012.Conclusion:① Patients with type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome are prone to anxiety or depression disorders, and the degree of anxiety or depression disorders is heavier. ②Liver meridian muggy syndrome integral and anxiety or depression scores are positive linear relationship.③Compared with patients with type 2 diabetes Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, patients with type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome are more likely to have diabetic retinopathy. ④Patients with type 2 diabetes liver meridian muggy syndrome are more likely to have hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
