Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Osteoarthritis Of Knee Joint With Analgesic Powder And TDP Therapeutic Apparatus

Purpose:This study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of osteoarthritis of the knee treated by external application of the Zhitong powder combined with TDP therapy.Material and method:Make the 82 patients choosed by the case selection randomly divied into experimental group and control group according to the principle of randomized clinical trials,after confirming there were no obvious difference between the two groups of patients on sex,age and course of diseases, began the treatment.The two groups of patients were given the same basic treatment measures, and then, the 41 patients in experimental group were treated with the external application of the Zhitong powder combined with TDP therapy while 41 patients in control group were treated with TDP therapy and placebo,the treatment frequency was twice a day and the period of the treatment was 21 days.Comparing the differences in the symptom of osteoarthritis of the knee grading score and the WOMAC score after the treatment and different periods of follow-up,then evaluate the clinical efficacy.Results:The symptom of osteoarthritis of the knee grading score and the WOMAC score of the patients in the two groups were both obviously lower than the score before the treatment,indicating the symptoms of the two groups compared with before were remission,compared the observation indexes of the two groups,the experimental group was obviously lower than the control group, indicating the experimental group was more effective,and the differences between the two groups of curative effect had statistical significance according to the checking(P<0.01).The observation indexes of the last follow-up indicated the experimental group had statistical significance compared with before treatment(P<0.05), the control group hadn’t(P>0.05).Conclusion:External application of the Zhitong powder combined with TDP therapy can effectively improve the symptom of osteoarthritis of the knee such as pain,swelling and stiffness. After treatment, the quality of life of these patients have significantly improved, and this method of treatment has no obviously side-effect,it is safe and reliable, can be simply operated, and does not increase the economic burden of the patients, can be easily accepted by patients, this method of treatment is effective, worthy of clinical application and promotion.
