Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Wuteng Qufeng Zhitong Decoction in the treatment of cold-dampness type and its correlation with infrared thermal imaging, and to provide more evidence-based medical evidence for the promotion and application of Wuteng Qufeng Zhitong Decoction. At the same time,it provides an objective basis for the evaluation of the efficacy of infrared thermal imaging technology on knee osteoarthritis. Methods: Sixty-four patients with cold-dampness type KOA of who met the inclusion criteria were selected. The patients were randomly divided into control group(32 cases)and observation group(32 cases)by random number table method. The control group was treated with diclofenac diethylamine emulgel(Votalin ointment),and the observation group was treated with Wuteng Qufeng Zhitong prescription for 2 weeks.Pain VAS score,WOMAC score,FTSST time measurement and Zhuang medicine syndrome score were performed before and after treatment to evaluate the clinical efficacy, and infrared thermal imaging temperature acquisition of both knee joints was performed to study whether it was related to clinical efficacy.Results:(1)The general data of the two groups were comparable.(2)Observation index : In terms of pain VAS score, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).In terms of WOMAC score, there was significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P < 0.05),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).In terms of FTSST time, there was significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P <0.05),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).In terms of Zhuang medicine syndrome score, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05).In terms of infrared thermal imaging performance, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P< 0.05).(3)Efficacy analysis : The rank sum test showed that the total effective rate was 93.75 % in the observation group and 87.10 % in the control group,P < 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.(4)Correlation analysis : There was a significant negative correlation between the infrared thermal imaging performance and pain VAS score,WOMAC score,FTSST time and Zhuang medicine syndrome score in patients with cold-dampness KOA.There was a significant positive correlation between the efficacy of the two groups and the infrared thermal imaging performance.Conclusion(s):(1)Both Wuteng Qufeng Zhitong Decoction and Diclofenac Diethylamine Emulsion can improve the pain VAS score,WOMAC score,FTSST time, total score of Zhuang medicine syndrome and infrared thermal imaging performance of KOA patients with cold-dampness type. Both groups are effective and have no adverse reactions, and Wuteng Qufeng Zhitong Decoction is more effective.(2)There was a significant negative correlation between the infrared thermal imaging performance and the pain VAS score,WOMAC score,FTSST time and the total score of Zhuang medicine syndrome in the two groups of cold-dampness KOA patients. There was a significant positive correlation between the efficacy of the two groups and the infrared thermal imaging performance, suggesting that infrared thermal imaging technology can be used as an objective index to evaluate the efficacy of cold-dampness KOA.
