A Cultural Study Of Euphemism Teaching In Chinese As A Foreign Language

Euphemism as a linguistic phenomenon, has always been a hot spot in academic research, but a cultural perspective combined with euphemisms study foreign language teaching is not a lot. This paper summarizes previous research experience and learn from the results of previous studies based on the comparison of Chinese and English from cultural euphemisms start, through the elaboration and analysis of practical examples of the theory of language, euphemisms for Chinese and foreign cultural factors in Chinese euphemism language teaching and cultural awareness are discussed. This study contributes to the promotion of our in-depth study of Chinese cultural euphemisms and help us to improve foreign language teaching euphemism.The thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is "cultural comparison of Chinese euphemism and English euphemism" First, an overview of euphemism, on the basis of defining the scope of euphemism studied in this paper, through analysis of euphemisms and cultural relations, emphasizing the comparison of Chinese and English from a cultural point of view of the necessity and feasibility of euphemism. Secondly, it introduces the cultural commonality and English euphemisms. Discussed from common cultural basis, common culture and common cultural effects. Finally, analyze the cultural nationality of Chinese euphemism English euphemism. Draw on the system and English euphemism ideas, values, ethnic and religious reflect the distinct national culture conclusions. The comparison study of Chinese euphemism and English euphemism from cultural is the basis of studying cultural Chinese euphemism in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.The second chapter is "cultural factors of teaching Chinese euphemism" This chapter first defines euphemism foreign language teaching and cultural factors, which is a prerequisite for study of Chinese cultural elements characteristic of euphemism. Then analyze the characteristics of cultural factors in Chinese euphemism, summarized the three cultural characteristics of Chinese euphemism. And described the impact of cultural factors on Chinese euphemism teaching in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign language. The third chapter is "cultural awareness of teaching Chinese euphemism" This chapter combines teachers, practical teaching, textbook three angles, discusses the teaching of a foreign language euphemism cultural awareness. Introduces the cultural awareness of teachers themselves. Master the system of the Han ethnic cultural knowledge and understand the students cultural knowledge. Secondly, the actual teaching of cultural awareness were studied. based on the actual teaching case. Finally, analysis of the textbook layout and design of cultural awareness. Through the current foreign language textbook series of visits, analyze the current bias in textbooks euphemism treatment methods, and strengthen foreign language textbook layout and design of the proposed cultural awareness views.In order to better carry out Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and better achieve the Western cultural exchange. The research of Teaching Chinese euphemism in culture is necessary.
