The structure "lian A dai B" is the research object of this paper. Based on the way of inductive and deductive, description and explanation, the contrast and analysis, it tries to explore composition, semantics and syntax of "lian A dai B". On the basis of previous studies, this paper tries to do some research on the fields which have not been researched or not probed into deeply. Therefore, we can understand and apply the structure better, especially in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, it will do some practical value.On the existing academic study, some regarded "lian" and "dai" as verb, some as conjunction and some as preposition. Based on the analysis of cases, we’d like to regard "lian" as preposition, and "dai" as conjunction.A, B can be a single syllable, double syllables or multi syllables; can be a morpheme, a word or a phrase; can be nouns, verbs or adjectives. All these show that "lian A dai B" has strong inclusive. Sometimes, the order of A and B can change, and sometimes can not be replaced.According to the grammatical features of the whole structure,"lian A dai B" can be divided into noun and verb. It has two meanings. One refers to A and B, the other refers to two movements act at the same time or one after one. In the syntactic function, this structure can act as subject, predicate, object, attribute, adverbial, complement and so on."lian A dai B" also has strong scalability. It can be turned into "lian A dai B dai C or "lian A dai B dai C dai D". There are also some changes, such as "lian A he B","lian A jia B","lian A bing B"."lian A dai B","you A you B" and "yibian A yibian B" are very similar, but they are still not the same. Contrasting the three, it can deepen the understanding of "lian A dai B".To retrieval "lian A dai B" in HSK dynamic composition library, the examples are few. This inspires Chinese teachers choose the best way to teach it and make the students use it correctly.
