A Comparative Analysis Of The Practice Of "Chinese Course" And "Burson - Marsteller Chinese"

With the increasing political and economic influence of China around the world, as well as the Chinese language, more and more foreigners come to China to learn Chinese in accompany with the exploding of Chinese materials for foreign learners. Being an essential part of the materials, exercise is an important portion of measuring the level of the materials. Nowadays there are few issues concerning exercises as a specific research, even though we have got great achievement in textbook’s compilation. This dissertation focuses on the comparison of the exercises of two primary materials, which is called Chinese Course and Boya Chinese in the dimension of quantity, modality, content and method. We find the differences between the two materials by Contrastive Analysis in order to give forward guidance for later textbook compilation.
