With its wide application in military and civilian affair, SAR has receivedmore and more recognition and attention. Because SAR has been developing at fullspeed in recent years, the amount of the SAR data is increasing in the way ofgeometric progression, and the existing data transmission system can not fully fit itanymore. A reliable, high-speed and large-capacity SAR data recorder plays more andmore important role in both national defense and economy development. Thus, it isvery imperative to develop a high-speed large-capacity data transmission system.The thesis mainly researches the design and realization of a high-speedlarge-capacity data recorder. At first, the basic principle and development of SAR,especially the significance of the design of a high-speed large-capacity SAR datarecorder and the development in future are discussed. Then, the data recordingtechnique is presented, such as: magnetic recording, Optical disc recording and solidstate disk (SSD) recording. Their technique characteristic and their development bothat present and in future are studied. Then, all kinds of methods to design data recorderare presented. Their commonness and difference, advantage and disadvantage arecompared and a new scheme which can transmit data faster is presented.Compared with the design before, this paper has many features. First, optical fiberis used because of its leading features of high transmission speed, small wastage andstrong anti-interfere ability. Second, DSP controls the system, instead of PC, and cantransmit data faster. Third, the use of RAID brings high-speed and large-capacity.Forth, high-integrated FPGA has replaced discrete component, it simplifies the designand hardware realization. The data recorder has the advantage of modularized design,compact structure and flexible use.There are many problems in high-speed digital design, such as signal integrity (SI) and electric-magnetic interference (EMI). Thus how to deal with high-speedsignal is one of the key points. How to transmit data sustainedly, rapidly and reliablyis another key point and difficulty.
