With the constantly update of the satellite sensor technology, the resolution of remotesensing image continuesly improve, thus making remote sensing technology plays anespecially important role in1:50000mineral geological investigation. In this paper, to the remote sensing image of the range of1:50000mineral geologicalinvestigation in ejina, guaizihu and other two map ranges, including SPOT2.5m highresolution panchromatic band image and ETM multiband color image, the author enhancedand fused the information by means of one single or the combination of these methods, including band combination, band ration, principal component analysis, HIS transform, contrast enhancement, density filtering enhancement and band operation, which promoteinterpretation quality of formation, rock mass and parts of linear structures in this area.Meanwhile, use Crosta method to extract mineralization-alteration information, so as todelineate the range of alteration. Combined with field researchs, the interpreted geologicalboundary concide well with the actual condition, which have certain guiding significance in1:50000mineral geological investigation of this area. The main production of this paper as follows:1.Boundary information in remote sensing images are enhanced by using HIStransformation on false color composite image with Landsat ETM band7,4and1. And thismethod is especially remarkable effect to distinguish the boundary between formation androck mass of Permian system;2.Different formations and rock masses of this area can be clearly showed in differentcolor blocks whose hue is greatly different after remote sensing data of Landsat ETMband3,4,5and7have been put in principal component analysis process. The effect ofinterpretation is good;3.The range of alteration information including ferric contamination anomaly, hydroxyanomaly and carbonate anomaly of this area is delineated, under the use of Crosta method bytaking principal component analysis on fused data of Landsat ETM multiband image andSPOT panchromatic wave band image with2.5m resolution.
