Balkhash-Tokelau epicontinental volcanic belt and its surrounding area isfamous worldwide porphyry copper deposits concentrated area, is the study of naturaltesting ground for porphyry copper, and super large porphyry copper deposits havebeen found with Kounrad、Borly and so on. Recent studies have shown that Balkhashmetallogenic belt has extended into China’s Xinjiang of the western Junggar ofBaogutu area, but the porphyry copper deposits have been discovered in our countryfar less than the outside. This article selects five porphyry copper deposits on tokelauepicontinental volcanic rock belt, to study the spatial distribution of the alterationinformation, establish a set of porphyry copper deposits in the remote sensingalteration information spatial distribution pattern, for the exploration of porphyrycopper deposits provide new basis and methods.First of all, the author does some pretreatment to the remote sensing imageincluding Band Synthetic、geometric correction and noise reduction processin. Inorder to eliminate the impact of the study area from the things around it, the authordeals with the remote sensing image by masking, geological structure informationextraction higher accuracy convolution filtering enhancement methods andvisual interpretation combined extraction; the author extracts the alterationinformation from the remote sensing image by PCA(principal component analysis)and Band ratio method at the base of summarizing many previous researches.This alteration information mainly includes chloritized、 K-feldspar alteration、sericitization、silicification、 kaolinized,Superposed the existing geological data andextract alteration information, and obtain the alteration information spatial distributionpattern. From alteration information spatial distribution pattern, the porphyry copperdeposits of the alteration information are mainly distributed in the vicinity of a faultand on the carboniferous granite diorite、 quartz diorite、 quartz diorite、biotitegranite、quartz monzonite、 andesite、andesitic tuff、quartz porphyry and tuff,andsome of the porphyry copper deposits of the remote sensing alteration zonation is obvious,which included potassium silicification、 phyllic zone、 mud zone andpropylitic alteration zone from inside to outside. Finally, compare the geologicalbackground information and the alteration information spatial distribution pattern ofBaogutu with the five porphyry copper deposits on Northern Balkhash region, theyare similar. Therefore, the study of the north balkhash area porphyry copper depositsof the alteration information spatial distribution pattern to provide technical guidanceon methods of porphyry copper exploration in the western Junggar area.
