Shahezi Formation in Anda area is very thick, containing gas as a whole, has a goodexploration prospect, is an important exploration area at present. The study of sedimentaryfacies can provide important guidance for exploration and development, this thesis is basedon sequence division and comparison, combined with the features of sedimentary facies, byapplying the FMI data, implement the sedimentary characteristics and sedimentary faciesdistribution rule in this area, provide support for selecting favorable zones.Shahezi formation in Anda area is extended from north to south, the west side iscontrolled by the western fault belt, the terrain is steep; The east side is gentle slope belt, theterrain is relatively slow. Through core analysis from several coring wells, found that themain rock types in this area is conglomerate and glutenite, followed by sandstone, mudstone, and with small coal seams. Previous research results show that Anda area mainly developedfan delta, braided river delta, lacustrine facies,3types of sedimentary facies in all.FMI image is high resolution, it can reflect lithology and sedimentary characteristicsvery intuitively and accurately, has superiorities than other conventional logging. FMI datacan save the cost of coring, improve the accuracy of sedimentary facies study, can alsoimprove the efficiency of exploration and development in oil and gas field.Using FMI data to study sedimentary facies is actually based on FMI data, at the sametime, combined with conventional logging and geological data, summarizes the lithofaciesmodels in the study area, and apply these lithofacies models to divide sedimentary facies.Including FMI image calibration with core, determine the lithofacies types and sedimentaryfacies analysis, etc.In this area, by applying FMI data, combined with conventional logging and othergeological data, further identified the distributary channel, braided channel, underwaterdistributary channel, underwater distributary interchannel, mouth bar, frontal sheet sand, beach dam, lake mud and other microfacies types.Statistical data show that, fan delta front subfacies, braided river delta front subfacies isthe most favorable facies belt in Anda area, followed by shore-shallow lacustrine subfacies, again is fan delta plain subfacies and braided river delta plain subfacies.
