It was unknown that the characteristic of the reservoir and it isn’t very deep on the study degree in the wutonggou formation in the east Lukqun region of Tuha oilfield. The paper expounds the method and idea, and it is concerned by reservoir characteristics study. The stratigraphic division and correlation has been studied, and the characteristics of formation clarified. The geophysical data(Meticulously) has been explained. The reservoir characteristics have been analysised by expounding these aspects systematically: the sedimentary characteristics, reservoir space characteristics, reservoir types, four relationships, etc. The main controlling factors of the reservoir have been shown in this paper. Finally the reservoir parameter modeling has been studied. The reservoir parameters have been calculated, the standard for identifying reservoir types has been given. The results showed that: the NW fault is given priority to the Wutonggou formation in the east Lukqun region, with the NE fault as the auxiliary. Formation in general to the NW direction, according to SE lithologic(formation), the lithologic trap formation. Sedimentary environment is the shore and shallow lake environment, the main subfacies is fan delta front subfacies, front subfacies mainly between the underwater distributary channel and distributary channel microfacies. The particles of sand are relatively large, mainly for sand reservoir lithology overall breccia, breccia and fine sandstone. The heterogeneity is strong inside layer, interlayer and plane of the Wutonggou formation in the east Lukqun region. The oil source of the reservoir is sufficient, the structure is beneficial. Effective hydrocarbon migration channel and perfect reservoir and caprock are the main controlling factors. Reservoir in buried depth is deep, big span, small oil length. Medium thickness, thick layer is given priority to individual reservoir; the porosity and permeability are big, with abnormal low temperature and abnormal high pressure. The reservoir type is heavy oil reservoir with structure and lithology control. The research method and results can provide a good technical support in further exploration of the Wutonggou formation in the east Lukqun region.
