With the rapid development of economic society and the continuous improvement of people’s living standard, the demand for meteorological services in all areas of life is becoming much bigger, especially the eco-meteorological service has been paid much attention by farmers, herdsmen and environmentalists. Currently the eco-meteorological operations of Ordos Meteorological Administration are still at the original level of technology. The check of monitoring data, report drawing and transfer, as well as consult of historical data are all manual, which not only makes low work efficiency, but also isn’t conducive to climate science research. The development and construction of the eco-meteorological observation business systems is a kind of important means to realize ecological business automation. Using the interaction between the system and operational personnel, completing the automation of ecological monitoring elements data and realizing the automatic report generation and transmission, it can avoid the wrong operations when human mistake, improve work efficiency, which is also convenient for researchers to analyze the historical monitoring data and applications.According to the standards of eco-meteorological operations and work processes, on the basis of consulting a large number of program design and technical data, using B/S structure, this paper utilizes Java and VB as a programming language and MySQL as the background database, then develops and constructs Ordos eco-meteorological service system through analyzing the present situation of the eco-meteorological work in Ordos.
