In recent years,with the flourishing development of computer technology,the traditional areas of industrial production combined with computer technology attracts more and more concern and attention.Especially in the oil industry,through computer simulation reservoir geological modeling to guide oil and gas development has become a trend.This paper uses object-oriented and the three-dimensional graphical software kit Open Inventor(referred to as unified OIV) based on Open GL and its expansion modules Mesh Viz, Volume Viz,and user interface development tool Qt.By building a reservoir geological model to design and implement a visualization software system.The system can perform a variety of geological maps drawn.Including stratigraphic thickness map,simulation results map,3D perspective map,well section map and so on.Using this system,you can intuitively understand the geological features profiles for quick and easy analysis of geological structure and stratigraphic features and other basic information,guidance petroleum geologists and accurate understanding of the various phenomena of complex reservoir geology and reservoir geological structure,making it possible to speed up the progress of the oil and gas exploration and development,and provide basis for decision making.Firstly, the basic theory of the reservoir geological modeling and visualization technology have been analyzed and summarized. The thesis explains the visualization of the reservoir modeling in two procedures: reservoir modeling and visualization. As for the reservoir modeling, the basic concept, methods, processes and classification of geological model are expounded, the whole process of reservoir geological modeling is studied. As for visualization, the principle are studied mainly. Summary on the specific flow which visualization technology is also made on the basis of visualization of reservoir geological modeling.Secondly, the dissertation researches the method and key technology of visualizing reservoir geological model by OIV and Qt. A detailed description of the generation of development, features and main structure of OIV and Qt, and analyzed the OIV expansion modules. Research above lay a strong foundation for the follow-up development.Finally, a new reservoir visualization system has been designed and implemented using the 3D graphics software OIV and Qt user interface kit. Using the idea of object orientation, three-dimensional scenes are created, isoline geological maps, Sedimentary facies model maps, Three-dimensional maps and cross-sectional maps are drawed By Mesh Viz and Volume Viz library.Through the actual field data, the system can draw a variety of geological maps and true morphological characteristics and spatial distribution of reservoir geological model have been realized. The system can draw the isoline of geological maps. The results show that, it highly integrats 3D and 2D visualization function. The results show that, the system has a good reliability, and has a powerful data processing capabilities, reliability, implementation characteristics.
