3D visualization technology is an essential technical use in geological industry. Using the existed drilling data and geochemical exploration establish a complex 3D geological model of geological body which can show a real, true, visual image in front of people. In order to fully cognize and study geology,in order to better carry out the phenomenon of analysis, scientific computing and engineering design,and finally make scientific mining scheme, cut down the rate of hidden dangers, realize prospecting and mining economically. But the origin of geological model data is too wide, the content of the data is muti-sourced, and the structure is variety. Multi-source heterogeneous geological data increases the difficulty to achieve 3D geological data visualization. Integrated management of multi-source heterogeneous geological data is the basis for 3D visualization, the development direction of the comprehensive analysis and sharing of multi-source heterogeneous geological data also geological research.So,It has important meaning for geological industry to study the 3D visualization of muti-source geological data. How to realistic multi-source heterogeneous geological data visualization and integration is the most important issue to achieve data sharing geological model to be solved. This essay aimed at the visualization and sharing of muti-source geological data, based on X3 D standard to achieve the unified of geological 3D model, put forward the scheme of storage, management and visualization of muti-source geological data. This essay will verify the feasibility of these three aspects of study scheme by actualizing the tremendous amount of muti-source geological data visualization integration system. This essay meanly contains three aspects as below:(1) Complete the solution for storing of the multi-source geological data, and verify the availability of the system itself. In view of existing situation of the management of storage formulti-source 2D or 3D geological data and specific issues, choose the relational database PostGISand non-relational database Mongo DB to collaborative solve the problem of storage for multi-source geological data.(2) Complete the solution for management of the muti-source geological data, and though the existing situation and specific problem of muti-source 2D and 3D geological data visualization, use metadata source catalog to make it easier to manage muti-source geological data.(3) Complete the solution for visualization of the muti-source geological data, and though the system to verify its serviceability. And though the existing situation of the management of storage for multi-source 2D or 3D geological data and specific issues, Using B/S system to achieve multi-source heterogeneous geological data visualization.For the X3 D standard data,visualization based WEBGL lightweight developed 3D engine X3 DOM, and combined with the map, on the same platform, space multi-source heterogeneous geological data visualization and spatial queries.(4) The project team in accordance with the above scheme to achieve a unified platform, confirmed the feasibility of the program, to achieve a multi-source heterogeneous two-dimensional and three-dimensional geological data geological data integrated visualization on the same platform. Through implementations on the system, indicated that the use of cloud storage can solve the problem of the storage for massive amount of multi-source geological data. The synergistic reaction of relational databases and non-relational databases has the advantage of faster response time and easier database design etc. Metadata source catalog simplified original fussy way to manage the data, achieve the association of directory tree and geological data efficiently.
