In the current era of information explosion, a large amount of data are producing around us all the time, that is called the age of big data. Facing a large amount of data, people usually extract the information that meets their demands using all kinds of processing and analyzing methods. As the key component of the mass data, statistical data proves the accurate objective support for processing the plan, analysis and prediction of all walks of life among the country and society.The introduction of visualization technology makes us more in-depth understanding of statistical data, such as text, reports, statistical charts, statistical maps and so on.As an important form of visualization, statistical maps mainly embodies the characteristics of geographical spatial distribution of statistical phenomenon.But for the statistical data with the three characteristics of space, time and attributes, these representation forms are not enough to minethe inherent regularity and characteristics of data comprehensively. These representation can not take full advantage of the statistical data, this may be a waste in a sense.And with the development of society and economy, people’s demands are more and more diversity and personality for the visualization result of the statistical data.Static statistical charts and maps have been insufficient to meet the needs of the people.The dynamic, vivid and visual expression of visualization is gradually into people’s vision.Dynamic visualization methods, technology and theory of spatial-temporal data that based on computer animation and graphics display technology provides the possibility for dynamic expression of temporal variation process of the statistical phenomenon. At the same time, temporal GIS and the development of spatial-temporal data model which is the the core content of temporal GIS also provide the powerful support for the spatial-temporal characteristic expression of statistical data.In this paper, we classify statistical data based on point features, linear features and area features by analyzing the types and features of the statistical data. Designing and establishing the statistical spatial-temporal database to store and organize spatial data and attribute data of the statistical object based on user personalization demands for dynamic display. In order to express the temporal characteristics of statistical data better, we design two kinds of storage mode to organize statistical data according to the changes of spatial data. Designing two kinds of visualization models for dynamic statistical map based on the existing dynamic visualization of spatio temporal data:statistical map animation and dynamic interactive map,then describe the dynamic display process of based on dynamic visual variables.In the experiment part I design a dynamic visualization system for dynamic interactive map,and investigate the process of statistical map dynamic visualization and design dynamic interaction function to facilitate the user to control the dynamic display process by introducing concept of time; summarize and discuss the setting of dynamic display parameter combined with dynamic map visual variables by the interpolation of the statistical data during the selected time.Through theoretical research and experiments, dynamic map is a better form to describe the process of temporal and spatial changing for statistical data.This form not only increase the methods of statistical data visualization and the user’s visual experience, but also improve the quality and depth of information extaction.
