Electric method prospecting is a kind of geophysical method, which can explore the geologic structure or find minerals effectively. Since the new century, the geology is making new demands on geophysics. It will be of great importance that how to deal with a large number of geophysical data effectively and intelligently and obtain the actual situation of geological results. So we develop the design of the relations software of electric and lithologic parameters.According to the design requirements, we have collected the vast amount of electric and lithologic data.Moreover, 14 common data fields and 5 personalities of data fields have been designed to implement the management of rock data. Besides, there are 3 main tables and 8 sub tables in the Oracle database.In this paper, ORACLE 10 g database, SQL and FORTRAN language, the development environment of MATLAB Graphical User Interface(GUI) is introduced. The needs analysis, software design solutions and the realization are discussed, and the concrete project is presented here in detail. There are six functional modules in this system: the main interface, data input, data query and modify, empirical relationships striking and board plant drawing, the electric results of single point predicts lithology, and the profiles data predicts lithology. The software has achieved the visualization of ORACLE database, striking empirical relationships related with electric and lithologic parameters and drawing templates, conjecturing the lithology based on single or profiles electric data.The final purpose of the design of relations software of electric and lithologic parameters is for geological interpretation using for electric method prospecting results by collecting electric data and lithologic data to establish a typical relationships of electric and lithologic parameters.
