Jixian metallogenic belt in Tianjin was selected as study area and Landsat ETM+and ASTER satellite data were used in this study. The image processing of geometriccorrection, radiometric correction, band combination and contrast enhancement wereoperated. The optimal bands combination of ETM+742was selected to interpret theinformation of stratum, rock and geological structure. Based on statistics andprobability, quantitative and half-quantitative method is used on analysis of histogram, average direction, item quantity, node number, iso-dentity, advantage grade andcentral symmetry contour map for linear geological structure. Further, the abnormalthreshold of parameter was determined and finally the distribution character of linearstructure was revealed.Combined with the actual study area, this article selected method of principalcomponent threshold after removing error for Remote Sensing Alteration InformationExtraction. The principal component analysis was used to extract alteratedinformation of iron staining, hydroxyl and the classification of alteration by bands of1,3,4,5and1,4,5,7of ETM+data;1,3,4,6bands of ASTER data were selected toextract Al-OH mineral;1,3,4,8bands were selected to extract Mg-OH mineral and1,3,4,5,8bands were used to extract mineral, respectively. Furthermore, the extractionresult was divided into three classes. Finally, a comprehensive analysis of the remote sensing altered information,linear-circular structure information, geophysical information, geochemistryinformation were proceeded in GIS,6mineralization prediction areas are specified, inwhich contains4potential areas of class A,2potential areas of class B.This work provided favorable scientific basis for further mineral exploration inthe area.
