Down-the-hole drilling rig is mainly used in mining, construction, water conservancy, power, building materials, transportation and national defense construction and other projects. Compared with common drill, DTH drilling rig has many characteristics, such as deep drilling depth, big drilling diameter, high drilling efficiency and wide adaptation. It is commonly used in large rock drilling equipment at present.Based on the DTH drill as the research object, this thesis summarizes the domestic and foreign research present situation and problems, and aiming at the existing problem of domestic DTH drilling rig to rethink some of its structural design.Firstly, based on the theory of finite element analysis, main components of DTH rig are analyzed through Pro/E and ANSYS and the stress distribution of DTH drilling rig parts is obtained under different conditions, which solved the problem that the safety factor is too big among the existing domestic DTH drill rig, and provides comprehensive method for later design of drill.Secondly, based on the principle of the mechanical structure, DTH drilling rig parts structure improvement schemes are proposed through the analysis of the existing problems. By applying the finite element analysis theory and the dynamics theory of the mechanical structure, the statics and modal analysis of the improved analysis of the improved, through which the DTH drill natural frequencies and corresponding vibration mode are obtained, ensuring that resonance phenomenon can be avoided while the drill is at work.Finally, through mechanical structure optimization method, the structure of the improved DTH drill is optimized by using the MATLAB toolbox, based on which the optimal solution and quality of its utilization coefficient are settled. Meanwhile, finite element static analysis and modal analysis of the optimized model are conducted by the ANSYS. And compared with the pre-optimized model, the advantages and disadvantages can be concluded.Through the analysis and research above, the present paper provides certain theory reference and engineering application value for the improvement of the work performance of DTH rig.
