60m multipurpose drill is a new ocean heavy equipment for m arine mineral investigation,seafloor engineering geological survey and s ubmarine multiparameter in-situ CPT sensing.As the au xiliary equipment of th e 60 m multipurpose drill,launch & recovery mechanism play an im portant role in launch an d recovery working of dr ill,safe and reliable launch & recovery m echanism can greatly im prove the efficiency of operation.China has so far not been specifically developed launch & recovery mechanism for seafloor drill,relying on the traditional launch and recovery ways directly use A-frame and marine winch can not adapt to the 60 m m ultipurpose seafloor drill which is belongi ng to the heavy seafloor equipment.Ttherefore,launch & recovery m echanism as a auxiliary equipm ent of 60 m multipurpose seafloor drill in project Technology development and applied research of 60 m multipurpose seafloor drill system,which is established by th e national 863 program.This paper describes based on the project,research and design a launch & re covery mechanism to achieve safe,fast and accurate retractable the drill when it operati ons in the marine.The main research of this paper are as follows.(1)Reviewing the research status of launc h & recovery m echanism of heavy seafloor equipment.discover the problem existing in the cu rrent study,then give the whole schem e of mechanism that meet the technical requirements.Setting design requirements for components of launch & recovery m echanism and m aking retractable operation flow according to the scheme.(2)Analyze the m ovement of ship and la unch and recovery under wave disturbance condition,and based on this result as the work condition to established the mathematic model that the operation process of launch and recovery.Mathematic model analysis by the Simulink,the theoretical value of force a nd motion is obtained.Th en according to the theoretical value to design the main parts bearing the load,such as hydraulic cylinder and joint point,obtain the preliminary design parameters.(3)A 3D model for launch & recovery mechanism is established by Solidworks,and the model is im ported to b uild a v irtual prototype model.Simulinking the virtual prototype to obtained the force and m otion curves of hydr aulic cylinders and ot her key parts,then compared the theoretical values to verify whether the model of launch & recovery mechanism is correct.Through static analysis of launch & recovery mechanism in software ANSYS,the key component stress values obtained in the process of retractable drill,then to verify whether the stiffness and strength of mechanism meet to the requirements.(4)After launch & recovery mechanism assembled,launch and recovery of seafloor drill test and main stress point of strain and stress measurement experiments will be done in the laboratory.According the test results to confirm the launch & recovery mechanism whether achieve the technical requirem ent,which can launch and recovery seaflo or drill and the test point stress of each co mponent whether consiste nt with the finite elem ent result.Providing theoretical and practical guidance for the launch & recovery m echanism to normal operation in the ocean.
