The resource advantages of Yanling County is obvious, it’s a strong county of tourism at the provincial level, a key county of cultural tourism characteristic economy, and the first batch of units to create "National Global Tourism Demonstration Zone" announced by the National Tourism Administration.This article through the literature research, defined the related concepts and connotation of recreation, recreation opportunity, recreation environment and so on. With comprehensive application of RTK and HNCORS, space data acquisition and processing method, collected 31 DOM which is 1:25000 subdivision, vector data of road polygon and center line layer, houses and buildings polygon layer, river system polygon layer, main tourism resources point layer, major public service resources point layer. Through a variety of ways, acquired available materials such as forest land "A Map", overall plan of tourism development, and filing materials of cultural tourism characteristic economy key county of Yanling County, established recreation resource database of Yanling County.On the basis of the 1982 edition and 1985 edition ROS application guide that issued by U.S.forest service, and the 2003 edition released by northeast research station of U.S. forest service; topographic features, population and area data of both Yanling County and New England, determined the ROS Classified indicators of Yanling County:Primitive is at least 2.57km from "classified road", the area is bigger than 9.71km2, the density of roads and buildings is low. Semi-Primitive is at least 0.64km from "hardened road", but not farther than 2.57km from "classified road", the area is bigger than 3.24km2, the density of roads and buildings is low to moderate; Roaded natural is within 0.64km from "hardened road", the density of roads and buildings is low to moderate or moderate; The density of roads and buildings in rural is moderate or moderate to high, public service resources is available; The density of roads and buildings in urban is high, usually existence a large number of public service resources; Using spatial analysis methods of GIS such as buffer analysis, overlay analysis, density analysis and distance analysis, analyzed the influence factors of county ROS.Based on the GIS platform, under the CGCS2000 coordinate system, according to the basic principles and steps of establishment, build the ROS of Yanling County, which is divided into six levels:(1) Primitive. Covers an area of 209.11km2, accounting for 10.30% of the county area; (2) Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized. Covers an area of 365.43km2, accounting for 18.00% of the county area; (3) Semi-Primitive Motorized. Covers an area of 174.26km2, accounting for 8.58% of the county area; (4) Roaded Natural. Covers an area of 643.71km2, accounting for 31.71% of the county area; (5) Rural. Covers an area of 562.29km2, accounting for 27.70% of the county area, Among them, Underdeveloped Rural covers 297.72km2,Semideveloped Rural covers 188.38km2,Developed Rural covers 76.19km2, accounting for 14.67%,9.28% and 3.75%;Urban. Covers an area of 75.37km2, accounting for 3.71% of the county area, Among them, Underdeveloped Urban covers 23.66km2, Semideveloped Urban covers 31.57km2, Developed Urban covers 20.14km2, accounting for 1.16%,1.56% and 0.99%.Using functions such as symbol system of GIS, showing the distribution of the ROS by made a map, Combining with "A Map" of forest-land, analyzed the distribution characteristics of ROS, illustrated recreational activities which appropriate to each level. Introduced the application of ROS to recreation resource management, the location of the scenic spots and recreation utilization planning of forest landscape resources.
