This paper studied the two chamber microbial fuel cell (MFC) in the laboratory oftraditional system, The sewage treatment plant to take use of comprehensive water andanaerobic effluent for raw materials, the enrichment and acclimation of microorganismin the anode electrode material of MFC. The proportion of comprehensive water andanaerobic effluent water is1:1.When we successfully launched the start-up phase ofMSC,the two chamber microbial fuel cell can move in a steady cycle. In the stableoperation stage,we carried out a series of studies. Conclusion as follows:Mustard tuber wastewater sample which mixed by Integrated influent andanaerobic effluent with the ratio1:1was used as anode fuel in double chamber in theMembrane Fuel Cell, sequencing batch dual chamber microbial fuel cell withferricyanide as cathode electron acceptor can successfully start and stable operation. Itsstart-up period has the following characteristics: the startup voltage in dual chamber issmall, only22mV,and the voltage rises slowly in a very long period of time, themaximum voltage is only139mV, voltage versus time curve of the second cycle issimilar to the first cycle, only higher in the highest voltage with225mV. the voltagerapidly increased in a short period of time and up to the highest voltage443mv in the3th cycle, the4th cycle is similar to the3th cycle, and its highest voltage keep in stablewith longer time, forming a relatively stable plateau, with mustard wastewater microbialfuel cells can operate steady.1. Maximum output voltage of the Membrane Fuel Cell with matrix of mustardtuber wastewater can reach450mV and keep that for about20hours in one completecycle. Organic matter in the anode chamber degraded fast. COD at a concentration of1500mg/L degraded80%after the cycle, while the salinity almost stay the same.2. Membrane Fuel Cell with two chambers output much electricity in one completecycle. The highest voltage is450mV, the maximum power density is155.44mW/m2andthe battery internal resistance is500ohm.3. Chameleon solution and ferricyanide were used as cathode electron acceptorrespectively. The highest output voltage whose electron acceptor is potassiumpermanganate is418mV with COD degradation rate of76%, not as good as whoseelectron acceptor are ferricyanide. If anode fuel is stirring in a short period of time, its higest voltage and COD degradation rate is significant better than not stirring. Dualchamber microbial fuel cell is capable of getting higher output voltage with running athigher temperatures and the cathode has slightly acidic buffer.
