Currently, there are installation complexity, poor communication reliability, high cost,and use not convenient problems exist in our underground voice communication system.Due to the shortage of the existing communication system, this paper presents aheterogeneous network of underground voice communication system.This paper presents a heterogeneous network of underground voice communicationsystem, and illustrates the voice communication process and the main component of thesystem. In particular, this paper focuses on the hardware design of voice terminal and therealization of wireless communication protocol. On the hardware side, voice node choosesCC1110wireless system-on-chip to realize the function of voice data processing and RFtransceiver, adopting TLV320encoder collection, coding, decoding voice information, andthrough the hardware communication interface to realize of μ-law data compression, toreduce the demand for the large amount of data voice messages to the wirelesscommunication bandwidth. On the software side, through the study of communicationinterface codec, wrote the speech coder control interface, and audio interface driver torealize the data communication between the microcontroller and encoder. Undergroundwireless sensor network adopting433Mhz communication band which is more suitable formine under the wireless transmission form star network. This network has completed thespeech data from the wireless network to fiber optic Ethernet. In order to improve theperformance of wireless communication, this paper introduced the custom of voice dataframe, and put forward the channel access mechanism based on repeatedly listens, toavoid the impact of channel idle misjudgment of voice communication.Finally, this paper made a communication test experiment for the entire voicecommunication system. The test results show that, the system voice node coding anddecoding performance is good, and low packet loss rate when long-distancecommunication. The quality of voice communication system can meet the actual demandof underground and has a certain academic value and application value.
