Since the industrial revolution,problem of global warming is serious.The mainreason is Man-made emissions of greenhouse gases, Particularly the carbon dioxidewhose warning effect is up to66%. Global warming may cause a series of ecologicalproblems, problems of economic development and problems for subsistence.Although the driving mechanism of global climate change is uncertain, The city as themost concentrated, the most active area, is the biggest driving force in the globalcarbon cycle, also the subject of carbon emissions.To reduce carbon emissions is notonly reflecting the global environmental problems, but also the necessity and thedevelopment of Qingdao. In recent year, Qingdao put forward to improving the wayof life, advocating the concept of low carbon, low carbon economy, construction oflow carbon in Qingdao. So for this natural-social complex ecosystem, we mustaccurately grasp the area of carbon emissions and the characteristics of carbonemissions. We should take action to reduce carbon emissions.This article is studied taking Qingdao city as demonstration,analysising causesof global warming,Sorting carbon emissions measurement theory and the currentresearch status of emission reduction measures. According to the type of carbonsource with energy consumption, the development of industry and agriculture ofQingdao City, this article summaries carbon-emission-sources and divides them intothree categories: energy, industry(carbon emissions of the industrial Productionprocess)and biological breathing. Industry main carbon-source are analyzed includedCement, glass, steel, synthetic ammonia. According to the main carbon source inQingdao city, The evaluation methods for carbon dioxide emission in《2006IPCCGuidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories》were applied as basic approachfor estimating Carbon dioxide emissions of Qingdao city from2001to2011.Based onthe above study mapped the carbon sinks model framework Qingdao.Paper analyzes the main characteristics the carbon emissions of Qingdao City, according to the results of the analysis, conclusions are as follows: carbon emissionsare growing trend, a larger growth rate in the2001-2011.Reasons of carbon emissionsgrowing year by year lies in the change of each industry composition. Per capitacarbon emissions is far more than the national level. Energy consumed and carbondioxide emissions for each10,000yuan of GDP are higher than the national averageand decreases year by year. According to the analysis on carbon dioxide emissionchange due to energy use with LMDI method. The results show: The main majorfactor of per capita energy carbon emissions growth is the expansion of rapideconomic development and population size. Energy efficiency inhibited the growth ofcarbon emissions. The carbon dioxide emission due to energy use in Qingdao wasinfluenced by the drive factors such as population size, GDP, and energy efficiency.At last, basing on the investigations of the present situation of Qingdao City,policies and researches which about the quantitative carbon dioxide emissions, weproposed short term approaches for carbon dioxide emissions control which includethe prior development of clean energy, increase the proportion of new energy; controlof high energy using sectors, the elimination of excess capacity, promotion of terminalenergy saving technology; The protection of arable land, improve city forest coveragerate, strengthen the city green space carbon fixation.This paper systematically and comprehensively estimates the carbon emissions inQingdao City, analyzes the characteristics of carbon emission in Qingdao City. It ismay be useful in Developing low-carbon urban planning.
