In this paper, the backgrounds and progress of tower equipment is introduced, especially the part about the high-efficient flow-guided sieve tray (HFST) and the fixed valve tray (FVT), and based on these trays, a new type of tray, flow-guided fixed-valve tray (FFVT) is developed. In order to maintain the structure and distribution of the fixed-valve, hydrodynamics and mass-transfer performance have been researched.The hydrodynamics performance such as dry-plate pressure-drop, wet-plate pressure-drop, entrainment, weeping ratio, and tray efficiency (according to different O2content in water on different point of column) of three trays have been measured in the experiment column (φ600mm). And the experimental data in different gas and liquid flux is analyzed and fitted, the mass-transfer performance is compared and analyzed. So, the influnce of structure to performance of the FFVT are studied. The upper limit of empty column kinetic factor(F) is3.1kg1/2·m-1/2·s-1, and the upper limit of liquid flux intensity(Lw) is21.6m3·(m·h)-1.The data and results of the research are expected to be helpful to the design and next development of FFVT.
