In modern mining or underground engineering, since the test of problem such as the rock hardness and the depth of the suppling has been encountered.The original blasting drilling not only has the low efficiency,but has a lot of potential danger in the process of drilling.Each year mine engineering often occurred accident.Patio drill have been applied widely because of it’s efficient and safe drilling way. However, reducer as main components of a drilling rig,which mainly reduces the motor speed to the drills required speed, and enlarges transfer torque.Therefore,the reducer has a crucial influence on the performance of the drilling rig. By analyzing the rock fragmentation mechanism of patio drill, to study some properties of reducer, which has important significance for patio drill design research.Firstly, the article create the whole machine model of the type of ZFYD patio drill. Secondly, I carried out theoretical calculation to the progress of rock drill rock fragmentation.This paper respectively calculated the drill in the drilling and reaming bits on axial compression and torque. Then the process of breaking rock is analyzed by using ABAQUS which is the finite element analysis software, to arrive the load torque curve on the drill during breaking rock process and check the result with the theoretical calculation results. Then the obtained data load will be loaded onto the main shaft of speed reducer. Use of kinematics simulation software ADAMS kinematics simulation analysis, Finally,checking the simulation results with the actual data to determine reducer motor selection.In the end, the gear as the important parts of the reducer are carried out the transient dynamics analysis by using ANSYS in this paper, which is to study the stress, strain and the change of displacement of gear in the process of rock breaking. In addition,the gear shaft of the reducer are also carried out the fatigue analysis in this article, to optimize drive system of the reducer. the drill pipe of Patio rig mainly transmit axial pressure and torque on the principal axis, and load is complex and changeable. In this paper, I focus on two kinds of conditions which are drilling and reaming. And I carried out static analysis to study its stress and deformation. At the same time, because of the special structure of the rig spindle,the paper also carried out static analysis on the spindle.This will provide a strong basis for subsequent optimization.because host reduction gear box is large, its vibration characteristics are closely related to its own distribution of mass and stiffness. However, the patio rig occur to vibration when it’s working, it is possible to the box’s natural frequency is close to external frequency. Therefore, this paper carried out10modal analysis on the gearbox to determine the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure. Prevent accidents due to the resonance.
