In recent years, with the development of intelligent oilfields, the problem of oildata transmission is an important issues related with oilfields’ development. In theprocess of promoting the intelligent oilfields, planning to build the oil data transmis-sion system based on network has marked a key step forward in our country. In thedata transmission system, wireless or wired network can transmit the data. Wirednetwork may be in-time and accurate, wired network technology is widely applied invarious aspects. However, wired transmission also causes some problems. For exam-ple, the arrangement of wire is a tough job and the maintenance of wire network costsmuch money and the complex natural environment of the oilfields lead various diffi-culties. Because of the problems, the wireless communication saves the costs andsends real-time and accurate data. So, we can make the wireless way to be the firstchoice in our data transmission system.The study has resolved the problem of inefficient, wrong and difficult to obtainreal-time data when the oilfields rely on manual data collection and recording, andaccelerated the advance of intelligent oilfields. By discussing this theme, we proposedesign scheme based on wireless network to implement the data transmission system.The main innovations and works of this paper are as follows:1. Design and implement oil data transmission based on GPRS network. The oildata transmission system builds on the China Mobile company’s GPRS network.GPRS communication technology with data transfer speed, and the communicationdistance is not restricted. The user is always online, and the network is stable and re-liable. Using the GPRS network for the system is the biggest benefit for remote datatransmission and the monitoring center position is not restricted by the wells. Remotedata transmission can be turned into reality.2. Design and implement oil data transmission based on the ZigBee network.ZigBee is a branch of wireless network technology. ZigBee networks are easy to build,free to use, reliable and inexpensive. In particular, ZigBee can be healed and orga-nized by itself. Thus, ZigBee network own the high reliability. The disadvantage ofZigBee is the transmission distance of a certain restrictions. Therefore, this schemeimplements remote data transmission by designing a transit station. The transit stationneeds to be set within the range of ZigBee network. The end of transit station for the well site data transfer data through ZigBee network. The monitoring center is con-nected to the transit station through other network forms.
