In recent years, mine accidents happen frequently in China, in which gas and roof accidents take a big part. Roof accident terribly harms the safety of mine produce. According to the statistics of Chinese mine accidents, the number of the roof accidents is always more than the others.In order to achieve scientific management and to reduce roof accidents, the mine pressure detecting and controlling are the most important basic tasks. Nowadays in our country, many traditional mechanical and hydraulic mine pressure detecting equipments are widely utilized under the coal mines. These kinds of appliance have the disadvantage of low efficiency and low precision. The pressure detecting systems with telephone line or optical fiber communication possess improved efficiency and precision, but are difficult to install, maintain and configure. Therefore, the design of mine pressure detecting system with high-precision and simple communication method is needed in our country.In this paper, a new type mine pressure detection and intelligent analysis system is designed based on Zigbee wireless protocol. Firstly the mine pressure detecting equipments used at home and abroad are discussed. Secondly, the disadvantages of the current mine pressure detecting equipment are analyzed. Lastly, the practical environment under the mine is considered. The system designed in this paper is a network system made up by two equipments, intelligent analysis and pressure detecting equipment, which are based on micro-controller ARM7LPC2103and STC90C516AD respectively. The pressure collection equipment collects pressure data at scheduled time and save the data and the corresponding time into storage chip. The intelligent analysis equipment constructs a graphic user interface to display some information, with which the user can synchronize the time of all equipment and transmit data with the computer.First, this paper introduces the main design idea and the function of each partition. Second, it elaborates the details of hardware and software. In order to collect pressure data conveniently, the system adopts Zigbee wireless network protocol, which is designed for industrial automatic control field with the demand of power-saving, high-reliability, low cost, large capacity and high safety. Last in this paper, after hardware and software testing, the system shows complete ability to meet the customers’demands.
