Water quality criteria are essential for the development of water quality standards and the management of water environment. Freshwater aquatic life water quality criteria are aimed at protecting fresh aquatic life. According to the characteristics of freshwater ecosystem in Qiantang River basin and based on the list of typical edocrine distrupters drawn from literature research, this study constructed freshwater organisms water quality criteria system of10pollutants by using secies sensitivity method for the purpose of protecting freshwater aquatic organisms in Qiantang River and also get the acute and chronic criteria values of them respectively. Phenol, tetradifon, a-endosulfan and EPN are four endocrine disrupters which are detected in the Qiantang River; bifenthrin, λ-cyhalothrin and permethrin are three pyrethriod pesticides which have large usage and high toxicity;2,4-D, diuron and butachlor are three most commonly used herbicides. The main results of this study are summarized as follows:(1)The acute WQCs of phenol, tetradifon, α-endosulfan and EPN were1.93mg/L,19.02μg/L,0.15ng/L and3.99μg/L, respectively. The chronic WQC of phenol was50.83μg/L.(2) The acute WQCs of bifenthrin, λ-cyhalothrin and permethrin were0.0066μg/L,0.0037μg/L and0.2137μg/L, respectively; the chronic WQC were0.0023μg/L,0.0029μg/L and0.0862μg/L, respectively.(3) The acute WQC of2,4-D, diuron and butachlor were2.94mg/L、118.08μg/L and110.91μg/L, respectively; the chronic WQC of2,4-D and butachlor were1.53mg/L and0.56ng/L, respectively; the chronic WQC of diuron derived by its acute WQC and ARC was43.41μg/L.Studies were mainly focus of heavy metals and persistent organic contaminates in our country. WQC of pesticides, especially for those widely and heavily used ones, are quite limited. The WQC in protection of freshwater aquatic life for10contaminates in this study can help filling a vacancy, provide the scientific basis of developing water quality standards and protection of ecological security of Qiantang River.
