As Upsizing tendency of China’s oil storage tanks, tank cleaning industry has become a hot topic in recent years. Tank cleaning has become a burgeoning industry that needs professional technology, professional equipment. All kinds of oil storage tank due to long-term storage, it will produce a certain height of sludge thickness, so the sludge must be cleaned. But because of the traditional manual cleaning methods, sludge in the crude oil can not be effectively recycled, therefore, this paper studied a kind of mechanical cleaning, the cleaning nozzle for optimization and improvement, which can improve the jet to tank sludge integrated strike force, to improve the cleaning efficiency.The first part of this article is about the optimize design of current tank cleaning nozzle, used Fluent software to simulate calculation of nozzle internal and external flow field, by changing the nozzle outlet diameter ratio, shrinkage angle and centrosome structure parameters such as extending into the distance, comparatively studied on axial velocity, different nozzle structure of the axial pressure, velocity of cross section, section pressure hydraulic parameters. Finally we got the best combination of nozzle structure, diameter ratio D1/D2=0.7, shrinkage angle=10°, centrosome into the distance L1=10mm. The optimal nozzle was simulated, and through comparison experiment, proves the superiority of their various aspects of the nozzle structure finally obtained meets requirements for the jet distance of large tank mechanical cleaning to keep hitting power.The second part made improvement of the nozzle structure obtained, in which the heart inside, opened air channel, increased the degree of mixing of air and liquid, which produces a large number of bubbles, the bubble will have a greater impact energy, capable of lifting jet hitting force. Through the simulation study shows that, the optimum passage number was three, so you can get the most stability axis dynamic pressure, maximum impact force, to improve the cleaning effect.
