As a main part of a five-axis CNC, the reliability of transmission during operation of workbench has a great effect. Especially the vibration phenomenon plays an important role of effecting its vibration reliability and stiffness reliability. This paper takes a five-axis CNC workbench as analysis object, parameterlizes key parts. Finally a five-axis CNC workbench reliability analysis software is built. Under the help of this software platform, the model of different size of key part can be obtained easily. By using connect to ANSYS, further FE anlysis can be done. The vibration and stiffness reliability of workbench under certain range of key parts parameters are researched. Great efforts on how to develop a five-axis CNC workbench reliability analysis is taken. Mainly these problems as follows are concerned.(1) Research is taken on structure and working theory. The studying stage of workbench of a five-axis CNC is also mentioned.(2) Parameters design of key parts. By buiding3D model of workbench in Pro/E and Parameterlize key parts, this paper proposed a new way to refresh workbench model under different key parts parameter.(3) Under the help of Pro/TOOLKIT coupled with MFC, the main frame of this application with parameter menu and drive model menu is made.(4) A bridge is connected by development of software platform which enables the parameter passing from software platform to Pro/E. Its function includes import parameter, drive model and connect to ANSYS.(5) Simulation of key transmission parts. The basic research methods of determine the vibration and stiffness reliability are introduced. Taking ANSYS as a effective analysis platform, reliability data is obtained by changing different parameters of key parts. This paper buids a five-axis CNC workbench reliability analysis software. Under the help of this software, an interface is offered to input parameters of key pars of transmission. Later, the new model generated after refreshing can be delivered to ANSYS. The vibration and stiffness reliability of workbench under certain range of key parts parameters are researched which is provided as a theory support of enhancing reliability of CNC workbench.
