With the development of modern science and technology, vibration, impact and noise controling become a creasingly complex and urgent problem. Vibration influence mechanical product quality, shorten the life of mechanical components, reduce the accuracy and reliability of the instrument, mechanical vibration and noise level has become important factors of machinery products in the market competition. Damping antivibration noise reduction technology is an effective control method of vibration and noise, damping materials is new material that aconvert mechanical energy in heat energy vibration. Because the traditional polymer damping materials are restricted by factors such as temperature, new type of inorganic damping coating are more and more paid attention to by people.In this paper, we by multi-arc ion coating machine in6Al-4V alloy Ti-substrate use two different methods prepare ZrN and TiN/TiZrN damping composite coating. Firstly, through the discussion of titanium nitrided and zirconium nitride relation to the thickness, we ensure the appropriate parement of composite coating.Through the experiment we prepared the ternary phase TiZrN and TiN/ZrN coating. Through the discussion of SEM and XRD image analysis we recognize that TiZrN grain refinement, the damping related to grain boundaries is one of reducing vibration source. There are damping induced by order in two kinds of damping coating system.In this paper we use hammering method to test damping property. We analyze the theory of half power bandwidth basis, according to transfer function get amplitude frequency curve. Extracting damping ratio which stands for damping capacity through the analysis we recognize that coating materials are influnencing on coating system damping capacity related to frequency. The coating method of system damping materials improves the damping ratio of various orders by different degrees. Titanium zirconium Nitride coating materials affect system damping characteristics mainly by two aspects, namely reducing natural frequencies and change system vibration amplitude.This paper studies on the mode analysis and harmonious response analysis of free layer damping cantilever beam (Ti-6Al-4V) by using numerical methods discusses the vibration characteristics of the damping materials and gets the natural frequency,vibration mode, The von Mises Stress and amplitude-frequency characteristics curve. Otherwise, we extract the damping ratio and participation factor, so get the Loss factor at last. Natural frequency of Ti-6A1-4V plate after additional coating decreases and the ability of damping strengthens. Damping capacity increases with thickness of coating increasing.
