The paper has optimized the design of mechanism and structure for integrated pneumatic fixture:It has completed the design of the link mechanism for integrated pneumatic fixture, and analyzed its operating characteristics. This analysis provides a theoretical basis for the wide use of the integrated pneumatic fixture in the field of BIW Welding, and provides reference information for the design and performance analysis of the approximate mechanism; It has completed the lightweight design for the components of fixture arm, and compared the performance difference before and after optimization. This analysis provides reference information for other parts’ design of the integrated pneumatic fixture. It has completed the flow field analysis for the part of the cylinder. This analysis provides reasonable suggestions for port position and structural design of the piston.The paper has completed the design of the link mechanism and analyzed its operating characteristics of integrated pneumatic fixture by using MATLAB software. This analysis has gotten reasonable length of the connecting rod and rocker. The open angle of the fixture arm is adjustable, and under the maximum clamping torque, the self-locking function of the fixture has high reliability; The paper has used ANSYS software to execute topology optimization design and stress analysis and deformation analysis for fixture arm, This analysis has acquired the optimal structure of the fixture arm model by exerting constrain under the certain conditions in topology optimization module of ANSYS, and compared the stress distribution and displacement distribution around the topology optimization of the fixture arm in stress analysis module. Finally, we have put forward the optimal fixture arm structural model; The paper has used the GAMBIT software to execute meshing for the cylinder model, and used fluid dynamics software to execute fluid simulation for the cylinder model. The result of the analysis has described internal flow field distribution and the force conditions of the piston. Finally, the paper has conducted research prospects for the integrated pneumatic fixture, and pointed out something need development about integrated pneumatic fixture. The paper has conducted research and analysis around the integrated pneumatic fixture. It has very important significance for improving welding fixture’s automation and flexible and promoting the independent research and development level of automotive technology and equipment of China.
