After studying many domestic and abroad papers, the paper follows the recent study of optimal design and organization of gathering pipeline system. According to working condition of natural gas gathering pipeline system in west part of Sichuan.Based on topology, geography conditions of the gas field and different exploitive phase establishing optimal structure parameter mathematical models of pipe network. The object of models is net present investment value of pipe network. Fully considering the relationship of gas throughput, diameter, pressure, length of pipe, pressure ratio, coefficient of compressor, and solving the models by optimal method of discrete mixed parameter.In the idea of system project and thoroughly think about the relationship of gas produce department, operation department and consumer, the object is max benefit of operation department. We establish mathematical models of optimal operation schema, and to solve them by feasible direction method and linear approximation.According to gas gathering and delivering pipe network and its characters, established behavior emulation models of equal temperature delivering pipe network and ordinary delivering pipe network that suit all most every structure of pipe network. By method of theory of functional analysis and operator progression method we simulate behavior of equal temperature delivering pipe network system, and to solve ordinary behavior simulation by difference method of central implicit.With GUI technology, image technology, OLE technology, DDE technology, database technology, directed to object technology, optimistic design software of natural gas pipe network system is programmed. It is wide adaptability, easy operation and high accuracy characters in the software. It has successful practice in natural gas pipe network building of west part of Sichuan. In other gas field, it also can be used in optimal analysis and emulation of natural gas pipe network.
