With the global energy shortage, the mining and utilization of oil shale as analternative source of energy paid attention to many chemists. Currently, ground drydistillation technology and underground in-situ mining were the main two methods ofoil shale mined and retorted. But a large area of dry distillation technology broughtserious environmental pollution and high cost. Therefore, the underground in-situmining technology possess prominent prospect. It is important for the study of sealingmaterial applying to water control technology In this work, the controlling watermaterial cured at room temperature or low temperature was prepared by usingnon-selective epoxy resin refering to the material for blocking water in the course ofcrude oil mined. To obtain the partially dissolved controlling water material, thehydrolyzed polyacrylamide was dissolved into the epoxy resin water control materialto prepare dissolvable epoxy resin water control material. The dissolvable speed ofhydrolyzed polyacrylamide in the epoxy resin water control material was confirmedthrough the contrast experiment and the rapid dissolution experiments. The resultsshowed that when60%polyacrylamide were dissolved in the material, the timeneeded was about2years. It is reported that polyacrylamide is non-toxic, acrylamideis nerve induced agents. Therefore, the content of acrylamide in the synthesizedpolymerization was determined by ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometry. Herein,the measured acrylamide was extracted with ethanol from the synthesizedpolyacrylamide. The measured acrylamide concentration in ethanol was0.196ppmmuch less than0.05%in GB/T22312-2008. So this will not cause environmentalpollution of groundwater.The desired water control material in oil shale in-situ mining and oil exploitationnot only requires the resistance to water, but also high temperature resistance. Theresistance to high temperature, the above epoxy resin water control material wasmodified with TDI and polyurethane started from a polyether polyol and isocyanatethe highest decomposition temperature and tensile strength of the obtained materialwere respectively up to300oC and over30MPa when it was cured at roomtemperature. It possessed better mechanical properties and temperature resistant performance when it was solidified in high temperature of130oC and120oC. Besides,the anticorrosion performance of the modified epoxy resin was determined. Theresults showed:The material not only had good mechanical properties, and high temperatureresistant properties. Moreover, the more prominent characteristics were the metaladhesion, curing at room temperature conditions, short curing time, good acid andalkali resistance.
