Aiming at solving the problems such as poor rigidity, difficulty in excluding bits, low accuracy and efficiency in deep hole of brake master cylinder processing with traditional twist drill machines, the key technologies and relevant problems of a special machine for deep hole processing of brake master cylinder based on gun drilling technology is researched and designed in this dissertation.Firstly, the problems in the deep hole of brake master cylinder processing with traditional method and possible solutions are analyzed. Based on comprehensive comparation and analysis, a new technology based on gun drilling for deep hole brake pump master cylinder processing is put forward. The overall dimensions and appearance of the special purpose machine for deep hole brake pump master cylinder processing based on gun drilling is determined and main key parts are designed according to the size of brake master cylinder and processing requirements. Secondly, the main drive system is designed and the main parameters of the spindle is calculated, the key parts such as motor, rolling bearing and rolling bearing configuration are selected according to the requirements of the gun drilling system to the machine spindle system. The assembly model of the spindle components is drew in with3D modeling software Solidworks and the preliminary design of the machine tool spindle system is completed. On this basis, the structure and working principle of machine tool’s spindle are analyzed, and feeding mechanism is determined, the ball screw mechanism, its bearing configuration, the servo motor and the guide rail of machine tool are selected. A special clamp used to ensure the brake master cylinder position and clamping accurately is designed according to the external structure of the brake master cylinder, and an air cylinder is selected according to the clamp force. Thirdly, in order to ensure cooling during drilling and chips removal smoothly, the cutting fluid and vane pump for high pressure flushing are selected, the pressure and flow rate of the cutting fluid is calculated, and cooling and filtering system is designed. Further more, the measures for controlling the temperature of the cutting fluid are explored. Fourthly, the base, column and clamp of the machine tool is analyzed with finite element method provided by the Solidworks Simulation software to ensure the stiffness of the machine. The structures with stress concentration and bigger displacement of key parts are improved according to the analysis of stress and displacement diagram. Finally, the content of the whole dissertation is summarized and further research and development is prospected. The deep hole special machine tool for brake master cylinder based on gun drilling technology researched and developed in the dissertation takes advantage of gun drilling system for deep hole processing, and the problem with the traditional twist drill process can be solved effectively. The special machine tool can also be used for other parts similar to the deep hole part, the efficiency and accuracy of the deep hole processing are improved greatly, and the labor intensity and manufacturing cost are reduced. The prototype experiment show that the machine which is designed can ensure the process quality on the premise, fulfil the production requirement that are volume-produce and high precision of the brake master cylinder and has good market prospects.
