Automobile hydraulic brake pump master cylinder is a key component in the vehicle hydraulic brake system and plays a very important role in respects of vehicle braking safety. When hydraulic brake system working, the sealing cup of reciprocating motion must pass through the compensation hole of the master cylinder each time in braking process, so the acute angle and burr at compensation hole will damage the leather cup, which would cause inside leakage of hydraulic oil and oil pollution, which directly affects the stability, reliability and service life of vehicle braking system, and reduces the vehicle’s safety. Based on the analysis of the working principle, features and technical requirements of the brake pump master cylinder, the structure design of the machine body, and processing technology control system etc. are introduced in this thesis. The design and development issues comprehensively discussed are about the inside-out type special of NC machine tools for compensation hole of automobile hydraulic brake pump master cylinder. The main contents of this thesis are as following:1. Based on comprehensive analysis of automobile hydraulic brake master cylinder and NC machining technology, the technologies related to inside-out process for compensation hole of the brake pump master cylinder are discussed, and the process flow chart is given. The new process can solve the problem of compensation hole caused by traditional process. According to the requirement of inside-out process, a special punch and NC machine tools are developed. The new process can ensure the compensation hole and orifice arc-shaped chamfer formed in one clamping, and eliminating sharp-edge and burr of compensation hole produced with traditional process. Meanwhile, it can improve the processing efficiency and the quality of production.2. The mechanical body of inside-out special NC machine tools is designed based on the comprehensive analysis and design, including the drive system, fixtures and overall layout of the equipment. The three-dimensional entity graph of the main mechanical structure are drew with SolidWorks software.3. According to the requirements of inside-out processing, the structure of system control is introduced, and critical components for the control system are selected, such as servo motor, synchronous belt wheel, rails, PLC and position sensors.4. According to the structure and requirements of control system, the hardware and software system of control system are developed comprehensively. The control program of the host computer PLC had been compiled with WPLSoft programming software. The control PLC program can control the servo motor, drive the electromagnetic valve, and achieve a series of the motion of the cylinder required by the inside-out punching process. Meanwhile, some anti-jamming measures and the graph of control program are given.5. According to the national standard, the special purpose machine coding is giving, and the main technical parameters and the method of debugging and operation are present. Finally, the effectiveness of related technologies applied in the paper is verified by comparative analysis.The special machine studied and developed in the thesis has been applied in the factory, and results shows it meets the design requirements, and solves the problem produced with traditional process effectively. Meanwhile, the technology provides a good reference for the research and development of similar small hole processing equipment.
