Sand production is one of problems in oil production frequently.It exists extensively inthe oil field production at home and abroad,.Reasons of the problem are complex, during allaspects of drilling, as completion, production and workover operations, etc.As the sandproducing problem appearing, it will lead to reduced oil production, increasing the workloadof sand in the underground operations, equipment wear and sand cards downhole tools, sandwells may also cause serious damage to the casing and the borehole collapse liner, sandburied reservoir cause oil shutdown, greatly improve the difficulty and cost of oil.Dawanqi Oil Field has weakly consolidated sand formation, which mainly hasQuaternary and Neogene Kangcun two oil-bearing strata,whose depth of well less than800meters.Now it is in the middle and later,that the oil field development.Sand production isappearing in most of the well. In the situation of Dawanqi Oil Field,that tons of oil willcompete,it has important meaning to maintain the normal production of oil Wells, prolong thelife of oil well production, reduce production cost, improve the ultimate recovery factor,thatfind out sand control method and technology of the oil field,which suitable Dawanqi OilField.Firstly,the paper explains the oil well sand control research status at home andabroad.Secondly,it analyzes the oil well sand production factors in the production process.Onthe front basis, the sand production mechanism of Dawanqi Oil Field is studied.Then, thepaper studies targeted to filter the sand control process and tools.Finally,the sand controlscheme is determined.
