Wireless sensor network (WSN) is considered as the most important technology in21stcentury. It is the combination of wireless communication, wireless sensor, microelectronics,computer language, is a highly concerned technology as its advanced idea and broadapplication prospect. Wireless sensor network has the advantages of small volume, low-cost,flexible networking, it can be used widely in military, rescue, environmental monitoring,medical care, traffic management and so on. The study of wireless sensor networks becomemore in-depth, application fields are more widely. It is better than by using the wireless sensornetwork collects signal, which monitors state of environment than traditional cable sensor inthe wiring process. It can reduce circumscription of the range of sensors. At present, there aremany communicate protocol of wireless sensor network such as ZigBee, Wi-Fi, UWB,Bluetooth. ZigBee has obvious advantages when compare with many other communicateprotocols. ZigBee has become the first choice of communicate protocol.This thesis has introduced the background and significance of the research as first, thensummarized development of the traditional wireless sensor network, current situation,structure and characters. In this paper, ZigBee technology background and the ZigBeeprotocol stack architecture are discussed; the author mastered the technological advantages ofZigBee and takes it as the core technology of wireless sensor network. Then, put forward thedesign of frame, which will apply to machine in mine. The design scenario of wireless sensornetwork node aim at monitoring libration has been recommended. At the same time thehardware of node has been designed. The software has been also contrived. The system havefulfilled wireless sensor network data sampling, managing, sending and receiving, alsoself-connecting of nodes. The system can achieve anticipative purpose through testing. At last, this thesis summarized the preceding work and the disadvantages in system, have lookedforward to the development, application and commoditization in the future.
