The development of people depends on the environment and resources. Mine resources production, as an important part of natural resources, is large in recent years. It made great contributions to human beings. However, it also causes a series of problems at the same time. There are two important points. The first, driven by huge economic interests, the illegal mining activities about mine occur frequently, which results in serious losses to our state interests.The second, mining activities have caused the pollution of the environment, which is threatening human health and sustainable development.In order to solve above problems, it is necessary to monitor mine area environment in real-time.In recent years, the Internet of things technology stands out because of its easy network, high cost- performance advantage and so on. It makes the environmental monitoring system possible. This topic is to design a mine environmental monitoring system which is based on the new technology of wireless sensor network.The system includes three levels. Perception layer is built based on ZigBee technology and its core chip is CC2530. The layer main function is collecting environmental parameters by connecting all kinds of sensors on the ZigBee nodes. The environmental parameters includes air, soil, water. We can also connect infrared sensors to monitoring node to aviod illegal mining activities; Data transmission to manager computer is divided into two stages. The transmission between the monitoring nodes is based on ZigBee protocol. The other transmission stage depends on 3G/4G technology which is based on TCP/IP protocol. The system uses ARM920T as gataway nodes and it achieves the switch between diffrent communication protocol. The upper machine program of this system can be coded based on the.net development environment. The research purpose of the topic is to help manager protect mine environment and avoid illegal mining activity.
