China's Meteorological Disasters And Emergency Management Research

Meteorologic disasters are a kind of disaster which is the most common and quite serious. The losses caused by meteorologic disasters account for more than 70% of the losses in the natural disasters. With the disaster prevention and disaster relief coming up as an important agenda, it has become a quite heated issue to do some research about the features, influences and forecast of meteorologic disasters, as well as the issues of disaster prevention and disaster relief. This paper, at first, summarizes the kinds and features of meteorologic disasters and the systematic functions of the meteorologic security work as well as the related theory about disaster management. And then it.will analyze and conclude the status quo of the current meteorologic emergency work in our country, whose shortcomings will also be analyzed. Finally, based on the nowadays strategies of disaster prevention and disaster relief, this paper points out that in order to create a new phase of the disaster prevention and disaster relief work, it's necessary to change ideas, establish scientific plan about disaster prevention and disaster relief, with the summarization and analysis about the idea of disaster prevention and disaster relief. Based on all of these, the writer raises a conceptualization about the strategies of disaster prevention and disaster relief and how to carry out our future disaster prevention and disaster relief of meteorologic disasters.
