As the development of technology, remote sensing (RS) has been applied successfully in many fields. seeking deposit using remote sensing is a new method in these years. the primary target is the alteration information extraction and the structural information extraction. We select HUANGGANG area in the south of Great Xingan Mountains as the study area and integrate the alteration information extraction with the structural information extraction. We use the method of enhancing the spectrum and space information in this area in order to extract the geologic information. The mineralizing alteration abnormal include hydroxy anomaly (OH-), ferric contamination anomaly (Fe3+) and silicic anomaly (Si4+). The structural information include annular structure and linear structure. Base on process with RS method,we use geophysical data ,geochemistry data and known ore occurrence as data source and apply GIS in this area in order to synthetic anysis and metallogenic prediction. Finally we make a synthesis remote sensing mineralizing alteration abnormal image and delineate five mineralizing alteration abnormal areas in the study area. The mineralizing alteration abnormal areas tally with the known ore occurrence, so the application of these methods is feasible in the south of Great Xingan Mountains. Hope this work will help seek deposit in the future.
