The characteristics of GIC spatial model are irregular (in comparison with Database model) and extending (two dimensions, three dimensions, of time and space and facing the object). The management and operation on data of the Database management system based on the spatial model is varied according to different models. Owing to the above mentioned, the spatial Database management system is all the time the researching focus of GIS in terms of both theory and technology. The data processed by GIS technology consists of two categories: attribute data and spatial data. Attribute data can be included in the frame of the theory and technology of relation Database, while the space data is quite difficult to be taken in relation model. The priority of every kind of spatial Database management system is to manage, operate and compute the above two types of data in a uniform way.The paper, based on the model of object --- relation, in depth researches the systems of management and operation of GIS. The specific content includes the following aspects:1. The abstract data model and storage model in the related Database of spatial data is offered according to the characteristics of space data.2. On the basis of SQL language form, the basic frame of special data operation language is put forth based on the data operation system and its user's interface, which enables the most common SQL language form in the field of Database to express the operation on the spatial data.3. The induction, conclusion and program of the lexical analysis in spatial data operation language are realized. The regular expression and the deterministic finite automation of the spatial data operation language are offered in this paper, which can be used to identify the bite order of information unit in the spatial data operation language.4. The design and program of syntax analyzer in the spatial data operation language is realized and the syntax tree structure and BNF model of spatial data operation language is offered in this paper. Meanwhile, in this paper, the method of recursive top-down parsing is adopted to realize the syntax parse of spatial data operation language.The problem of realization and compiling of spatial data operation language is complex and systematic problem and only part of it is researched in this paper. How to optimize the language structure and improve the efficiency of language implementation and how to carry out the application in the mixed system WEB still require further research.
