Remote Sensing Image Data Format And General Image Format Design

The data is the ghost of the application program. In order to make the software suitable for the input and output of multiple image data formats and in combined with the investigation of certain military program, in the paper the study focus is put on the input of six common remote sensing imageries together with the input of SPOT auxiliary image data based on the investigation of the several common image formats in the computer. Meanwhile, an intermediate image explanation format, which causes no damage on the original image format, is defined to realize the input and output of original image data based on the analysis of image data storage character.The main work in the paper is listed as folio wings.1. Firstly, the study focus is aimed at the BMP, TIFF, GIF, PCX, TGA, JPEG and other six common image formats. Deep analysis is given on the data structure of each type image, and a comprehensive introduction is given on the reading flow of image data, and the read operation for each type data is accomplished.2. Secondly, the analysis is made on the several standard remote sensing satellite imageries. The emphasis is put on the SPOT image as well as its CAP standard data format, in which the deep analysis is carried out on the each part of every file in the CAP format, and interpretation work is well done with every field in each part, furthermore, the introduction is given the reading process of CAP data format.3. Finally, an intermediate image format is designed on the storage characters of the standard remote sensing data. The design and realization process of the format is given out, and analysis is made on its advantages and shortcomings.
