Since the last twenty years, the seismic exploration technology has acquired the enormous development. Currently, the 3D seismic exploration technology with the multiple coverage technique as the core gets the widespread application. Although the 3D seismic exploration costs too much in acquisition, processing and interpretation, but the value of it was found more and more. Most international oil companies rely on 3D seismic data for selecting the sites for well location in different prospecting stage. Otherwise they can't make sure a well location. The whole world throws in the expenses of the 3D seismic exploration to have already over 85% of all seismic exploration expenses annually. In recent years, 3D seismic exploration in eastern region of our country is mainly used in dynamic reservoir description, and the mountainous seismic exploration in western region mainly solves the imaging and the bed. The investment of 3D exploration and workload has been increasing obviously, and the 3D seismic exploration is also in the large-scale development. In the meantime, the research concerning 3D seismic exploration also goes more deep and fine.The seismic exploration is a system engineering, so cooperation among acquisition, processing and interpretation flow is necessary, otherwise, it will lead to poor production quality directly. Because the field acquisition is of most importance in the seismic exploration, the quality of the field acquisition data relates directly to the completion of geology mission. Furthermore, currently the field acquisition also cost the biggest part (almost 70%-80%) in the 3D seismic exploration expenses. Therefore, the research work concerning field acquisition seems more important.Currently, the 3D seismic exploration is placed in a dilemma: the accuracy of seismic acquisition must be as high as possible, and on the other hand, the cost must be as low as possible. For this, we must establish the standard for acquisition, processing and interpretation flow based on the geology target from the recording geometry design stage of the seismic exploration.
